DIVING TOUR IN CON DAO ISLAND
(Daily diving )
There are storms are can be intense but they are short and do not effect the diving.
We currently have 20 dive sites available to us, with a tremendous variety of conditions
as we develop the location, we hope for 30 to 40 more.
We recently discovered the only (to our knowledge) divable wreck in Vietnam.
A steel hulled freighter, about 60 meters long. She sits in 32 meters of water.
The deck, wheel house and cranes are within range of open water divers with some experience.
10 - 24 meters.
The best diving is generally from March to October.
Con Dao has a unique weather system with two rainy seasons.
The windy season from December until late March is followed by rain from March until mid-May.
May through August is the best time to go.
In comparison with the other dive destinations in Vietnam,
Nha Trang suffers from cool weather, limited visibility and cold water from November to March.
Recently all but three dive sites have been closed, the fish are quickly disappearing.
Hoi An, has reasonably good diving but a limited diving season.
Phu Quoc has a limited season and the diving is disappointing.
Whale Island has a limited season.
Ha Long Bay has low visibility and extreme currents
Con Dao, with its remote location has so far been spared the worst ravages of mass tourism,
and is it much like we remember of Vietnam of 20 years ago
There are a number of species that will not be found anywhere else in Vietnam,
such as the rare dugong, turtles, dolphins, rays and sharks. Many species of exotic corals can also be seen here.
Water temperature varies from the low twenties to more then 30* in the summer.
Visibility is variable, depending on the site and season but is rarely less then 6 meters..
Con Dao is one of the few places in Vietnam with water clear enough to take your breath away.
At its best, the water is 32 degrees with unlimited visibility.

We offer the SSI Try Scuba Diving Experience:
You will be briefed on some basic diving safety issues, introduced to your equipment,
then go in the water with a trained and licensed professional.

Daily dive trip:
We generally begin at 8:30 a.m. from the shop, which is a 2 minute walk to the boat.
All dives are guided by experienced dive guides, with a maximum of four persons to a group.
20-60 minute scenic boat ride to our first dive site during which you will be given your equipment and briefing.
1st dive 50-60 minutes depending on your air consumption.
Surface interval, move the boat to the second site.
Begin the 2nd dive, again 50-60 minutes.
We are generally back for lunch.
Water, coffee, tea and fresh fruit are included. For an extra charge cold soft drinks are available.
1 dive $92
2 dives $160
An optional third dive, which will include lunch on the boat or a picnic on one of the islets $230.
Snorklers $45
Singles will be surcharged. We cannot guarantee the boat will go out everyday; we need a minimum of 2 divers to cover costs.

In the interest of environmental conservation, we are the only dive company in Vietnam to use rechargeable batteries in our dive lights.
Night divers are provided with Quality LED and HID torches.
Courses will have a maximum of four students,
we are not a certification factory,
and we will take as much time as necessary to make safe proficient divers.

SCUBA REVIEW
If you are a certified diver, but it has been a while since your last experience, we STRONGLY recommend a SCUBA REVIEW.
This is a short program where you kit up and dive off the beach with a dive master or instructor, and refresh and review your SCUBA skills.
We keep the price very low for this program to encourage people to do it, so they can more safely enjoy their diving experience in open water.
$50 (2-3 hours.)
Our boat is a custom made 15 X 4.2 meter wooden hull that can comfortably accommodate 18 divers and a bunch of snorkelers.
Having dived on all the boats in Vietnam, we have designed this one to address all the shortcomings we have found in the local boats.
We have 2 hot and cold water showers, cooking facilities, a chase boat, plenty of headroom, grab rails on the ceiling, a big comfortable ladder,
G.P.S., Depth Sounder, Satellite phone.
There is 110 and 220v power to charge those batteries, lockable storage space, though theft has never been a problem.
Adequate space to move around even when loaded with tanks.
The dive deck is clear of any obstruction and is 3.5 meters long and 3.4 meters wide.
